The XEL is a medium-sized sedan of Jaguar, and the mid-term facelift model was officially unveiled in September this year. The front end of both versions features a new style of headlights with a honeycomb chrome grille. The shape of the lower bumper has also been redesigned. The most obvious change in the new car comes from the taillights. The redesigned style echoes the headlights and comes standard with dual-side two exhaust pipes.
The new car interior has been redesigned in detail, such as the new style of multi-function steering wheel, and the original dual-barreled dashboard is replaced by a 12.3-inch TFT full LCD virtual instrument. The Dual HD Touch center console screen is equipped with the Jaguar Touch Pro Duo infotainment system shared with I-PACE. Not only that, the control area of the air conditioning system under the center console screen changes even more: the touch screen replaces the previous button design and is mated with a knob control.
It is worth mentioning that the 12.3-inch full LCD virtual dashboard, high-definition ultra-wide-angle streaming media rear view mirror, dual high-definition touch control screen and the second-generation high-definition full-color HUD head-up display system together constitute the five-screen linkage of the new car.
In addition, the shift zone of the new car has also been redesigned. The original knob shifting mechanism is replaced by the traditional gear bar, and the one-button start and electronic handbrake buttons are also moved to this area. Moreover, the cup holder behind the shift zone is also re-divided and equipped with a baffle to provide more storage space.
Jaguar's new XEL will be equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines, with each has two different powers. The 1.5T three-cylinder engine power is 118 kW and 147 kW, respectively, and the 2.0T four-cylinder engine power is 147 kW and 184 kW, respectively.
