On September 15, IIA learned from WM Motors that the automaker officially released its AVP autonomous parking technology jointly developed with Baidu, and new mass-produced models equipped with this technology were also unveiled simultaneously. At this point, WM has become the world's fastest to land and mass-produce L4 autonomous driving technology brand. It is understood that this model is expected to be officially launched in 2021.

AVP autonomous parking technology is jointly developed by WM and Baidu Apollo, and is committed to using L4 driverless technology and real-time big data to achieve a high degree of intelligence and unmanned parking in the parking lot, and create the ultimate solution to the "last mile " program.

Shen Hui, the founder, chairman and CEO of WM, said: "As an important part of IdeaL4's new technology strategy, AVP autonomous parking technology fully implements the intelligent travel service ecological vision of WM's'people-vehicle-environment' integration. At the same time, it also shows the strongest technical strength of WM allies. WM will live up to the trust of users and will continue to apply the most cutting-edge technology to the market, so that every Chinese family can have its own smart travel life."

According to WM's official introduction, AVP autonomous parking technology is jointly implemented by the entire vehicle's 5 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars and AVP dedicated on-board computing platform. Through simple self-learning or directly with the help of high-precision maps, automatic driving, avoiding obstacles, intelligent search of parking spaces and autonomous parking in and out without human intervention can be completed.

In the future, AVP autonomous parking technology will be interconnected through intelligent cloud to create a complete parking lot autonomous driving ecology. In this ecosystem, more value-added services can be implemented, such as automated charging of electric vehicles, unmanned vehicle washing, unmanned express delivery, and you name it.
