IIA is informed that from 2021 to 2025, Audi AG plans to invest approximately 35 billion euros in R&D and fixed assets. Among them, the investment in technology is about 17 billion euros, equivalent to half of the total investment, and the investment in electric and hybrid vehicle development is about 15 billion euros.

In the field of electric travel and hybrid travel, Audi is expected to invest 15 billion euros, of which about 10 billion euros will be used in the field of pure electric travel, and 5 billion euros will be used in the field of hybrid travel. By 2025, it is expected that there will be about 30 electrified models, and about 20 pure electric models. At the same time, research and development will also be carried out across brands within the group. Audi and Porsche jointly develop the PPE platform. Audi also uses the Volkswagen Group MEB platform.

In terms of software development, Audi will develop a unified operating system for all models of the group, and the Car.Software organization will further develop autonomous driving functions. Markus Duesmann, Audi's global CEO, said "Our plan is very clear. We will not reduce the substantive content of the product, but will focus on electric mobility and software development."

The Audi Transformation Plan and the "Audi Future" plan are the key pillars of the company's success. Since its inception three years ago, the Audi Transformation Plan alone has saved Audi more than 6.5 billion euros and is expected to save 15 billion euros by 2022.
