IIA was informed that Volvo announced November sales data in China. Data show that Volvo's sales in China in November reached 17,997 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 24.5%, breaking the highest monthly sales record. At the same time, this is also the eighth consecutive month of double-digit sales growth for Volvo. From January to November 2020, Volvo's cumulative sales in China exceeded 147,000, which is only one step away from breaking the annual sales record.

Volvo XC60

Specifically, the Volvo XC60 is still the best-selling model under the brand, with its November sales of 6,300 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Sales of the all-new S60 are also increasing steadily, with 3,101 units sold in November. Volvo XC40, for the young market, also achieved a 17% sales growth in November.

Volvo S90

The 90 series models that have just completed the electrification transformation and introduced the 48V light-hybrid system this year have also ushered in a good market performance, and their sales in November accounted for more than 30%. Among them, Volvo XC90 sales reached 2,079 units in November, a year-on-year increase of 35%. Volvo S90 also sold close to 4,000 units in November.

Behind the continued improvement in market performance is Volvo's consistent "people-oriented" brand value, which is being recognized by more and more domestic consumers. Based on the complete product lineup, the safety, health and environmental protection concepts that Volvo has been pursuing are also leading the industry trend.

Volvo XC40 RECHARGE

At the just-concluded Guangzhou Auto Show, Volvo's first pure electric model, the XC40 RECHARGE, was officially launched. Through new energy power technology, innovative official direct sales model and "five lifetime free services" and other measures, it has shown us its determination and confidence in electrification.

Recently, Volvo Car CEO Hakan Samuelsson said in an interview that Volvo will only deliver electric vehicles from 2030, and the last fuel car under the brand will be the next-generation Volvo XC90. It can be seen that Volvo will focus on the development of future products in the field of new energy, which is also the practice of its vision of sustainable development.

Author: From the current sales data, the refreshed Volvo from only a step away from full-year sales record, stable performance of its main models and a series of innovative initiatives, also contributed to the overall market performance to some extent. For the coming 2021, Volvo will also usher in more new opportunities and challenges when facing further deepening of its electrification transformation.
