Nov. 28th, in the presence of Chinese President Xi Jingping and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed in Spain by Volkswagen Group China, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (JAC) and SEAT. Under the MOU, IIA learnt that the technology and product capabilities of all parties will be leveraged to develop a battery electric platform for productions at JAC Volkswagen. And JAC Volkswagen will introduce the SEAT brand by 2021. What’s more, construction of the JAC Volkswagen R&D center will start before the end of 2018 and will complete in 2021 as planned. And it will focus on key areas such as connectivity, autonomous driving and other future strategic directions.

Corolla is a compact sedan of Toyota. The all-new model is designed based on the GA-C platform of TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) and its hatchback version was released officially at the 2018 Paris Auto Show. IIA has learned that the all-new Corolla sedan version and the PHEV version will debut in Guangzhou on November 16. The front face of the new model adopts a new appearance design: a bigger grille matching with the redesigned sickle lighting set on both sides, contributing to a pretty good visual effect. In addition, the PHEV version is equipped with the blue logo.

Currently, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile (abbreviated as SGMW) Baojun brand owns the Baojun 510, a small-sized SUV, and the Baojun 530 and the Baojun 560, two compact SUVs.
